Industrial solution
Power Equipment & Cable
Multi-face inspection of motors, windings, terminals, cable and steel.
Power equipment and cable combine cylindrical multi-face geometry, highly reflective metal surfaces and irregularly distributed defects — conditions a single-camera setup cannot inspect in full. DSTEK applies the optical design and robot-guided capture proven on drive-motor stators and rotors, relay terminals, and steel plate and pipe lines.
Scope
What we inspect
-
Hairpin motor stator
Core lifting, cracks and deformation inside and out; insulation paper damage; exposed copper and wire damage in the coil; terminal coating dust, melting and positional deviation; star-point plate coating defects
-
Hairpin weld points (3D)
Five-direction capture for missing welds, corner omissions, ball separation, spatter, fusion deviation, dimensional faults, burn marks, bead swelling and sharp-edge burrs
-
Round-wire stator and rotor
Nine-direction capture. Foreign matter, rust, paint beads, bending, damaged strands, insulation paper damage, shrink-tube peeling, terminal damage
-
Motor rotor
Slot wedge eccentricity, absence and length faults; commutator damage, in-slot burrs and paint ingress; enamel wire bundle damage
-
Relay and terminal assembly
Part location and assembly state, case rivet joint and terminal face damage, contamination and buckle defects, code reading
-
Steel plate, pipe and coil
Zinc slag, roll marks, scratches, unevenness and inclusions; inline diameter, length and roundness measurement; winding and edge defects
Applications
Representative inspection tasks
A selection of what we have actually run on the line — not the full list. New inspection targets are approached the same way.
-
Hairpin stator multi-face inspection
A six-axis robot arm with high-speed flying capture covers the inside, outside, top and bottom of the cylindrical body, judging core, insulation paper, coil, terminals and star-point plate in one pass.
-
Hairpin weld point 3D inspection
3D line laser and point cloud measure flatness, height and seam width, with five-direction capture giving full 360° coverage.
EV drive motor line
-
Round-wire nine-direction inspection
A robot-carried camera with combined optics captures nine directions to handle the uneven defect distribution across copper wire harnesses.
-
Motor rotor inspection
Multi-process, multi-angle lighting with high-frame high-resolution cameras suppresses background interference across slot wedges, commutator and enamel wire.
-
Pressure sensor and connector assembly
Part location, pick-up, assembly and unloading are linked across processes, with assembly state and codes verified together.
-
High-voltage relay assembly line
Nine stations integrated into one automatic assembly line: actuator welding, terminal grinding and assembly, coil and tank assembly, semi-finished testing and copper tube riveting.
EV high-voltage relay production line
-
Steel plate surface inspection
Wide plate is covered by multiple line-scan cameras, with CNN-based segmentation reporting defect position, size, area and probability.
-
Steel pipe dimensional inspection
Line scan and 3D point cloud combine to measure diameter, length and roundness inline across full production.
-
Steel coil appearance inspection
Line-scan and multi-source lighting tuned for reflective steel detect surface defects, winding faults and edge defects.
-
Drive component standard inspection machine
In-house parallel-surface lighting holds a stable greyscale separation between surface and defect, inspecting impact marks, scratches, indentation, underfill and cracks from three directions.
Global drive component manufacturer standard
Our edge
What we bring to this industry
- 01 In-house optics that image reflective copper wire and silver-plated terminals evenly
- 02 Robot-guided multi-direction capture — full coverage of cylindrical and irregular bodies a fixed camera cannot reach
- 03 3D line-laser measurement of weld flatness, height and seam width
- 04 Supplied as one chain, from the inspection machine through to assembly line automation
