Top Enterprise Award at AW2026, and MOUs with Korean partners
DSTEK Korea took the Open Innovation Round Top Enterprise Award at Automation World 2026 in Seoul and signed strategic agreements with Wongang Industry and RCK.
Automation World 2026 ran from 4 to 6 March at COEX in Seoul. DSTEK presented its core industrial AI vision technology and the deployment experience behind it across more than 30 countries.
Top Enterprise Award
In the exhibition’s Open Innovation Round, DSTEK Korea received the Top Enterprise Award in recognition of its innovation and market potential in smart manufacturing, industrial automation and applied AI.
Keynote — from a single tool to the backbone of production
The keynote argued that Korean manufacturing has entered a decisive phase of its intelligent transition, and that existing automation equipment is constrained by inflexibility and disconnected data. AI vision inspection, it held, is moving from being one tool among many to the backbone of the process.
Strategic agreements
During the exhibition, Gyuyoung Hwang, Global CEO of DSTEK, signed MOUs with Wongang Industry and RCK Co., Ltd. to accelerate the localisation of smart manufacturing work in the Korean market.
Live demonstrations across three sectors
- 3C — smartwatch glass inspection. Multi-source time-division exposure with narrow-field high-precision scanning identified defects on both 3D curved and flat regions, detecting cracks, scratches and compression damage at 1μm-class recognition precision on the stand.
- Automotive — flying-capture AI vision inspection of drive motor stators
- Secondary battery — cell quality inspection
