Where does inspection data live?

Does our line imagery leave the building — and does it leave the country?

It does not. DSTEK deploys on-premise by default: training, inference and storage all run on customer infrastructure. Cloud connectivity is configured only when the customer asks for it.

When an engineer needs access

  • On site, engineers follow the customer’s security procedures and NDA.
  • Any data that must leave the site is handled only after prior approval.
  • Remote support connects only through channels and scopes the customer has approved.

If you do want cloud

Edge-cloud analytics is configured for customers who want defect trends across several lines or sites in one place. It is not the default, and the scope of what is transmitted is set out at contract stage.
